Eurasier Walk 08-08-10

On Sunday 8th August we attended a Eurasier walk hosted by The UK Eurasier Club in Bedford. It was lovely weather & we had a nice walk beside the river, where some of the dogs took the opportunity to cool off by having a dip!

Afterwards we relaxed in the garden back at Karen & Patrick's with a cold drink & some snacks and of course some pigs ears for the dogs!

And of course, as always, there were also some 'honourary Eurasiers' joining us for our walk too!

A good time was had by all!

New Puppies!

Here at Asimov Eurasiers we are very excited to announce the birth of our latest litter! Ali had 4 girls and 3 boys yesterday; Mum & pups are all doing well. Ali is an experienced Mum and absolultely adores her new additions.

On Sunday we saw the last boy from this litter, Asimov's Black Magic, go to his new home, where I am sure he will have a great time with his new family.

The UK Eurasier Club - Grooming & Showing Training Weekend

On the weekend of the 31st July & 1st Aug, we travelled up to Norfolk to attend the Grooming & Showing Training Weekend hosted by The UK Eurasier Club.

The weekend was spent learning how to groom our dogs properly ready for showing, followed by several practice sessions running round a show ring and then head-to-head 'show-off' between all the dog, bitches & puppies on the Sunday.

Despite looking like rain a few times, we actually had fantastic weather for this outdoors event, which was complemented by a BBQ & a walk along Hunstanton beach on the Saturday evening.

The event was attended by some 25+ dogs and a great time was had by all :)

East of England Show

On Sunday 11th June we travelled to the East of England Showground in Peterborough for the East of England Championship Show. We took with us Asimov's Beaufort, aka Troy. At 7 months old this was Troy's first Champ Show.

At the showground we met up with a group of friends- some of whom had also come to show their Eurasiers, and others who had just come along to watch. Whilst we waited for the Eurasier classes to come round we watched the other dogs in the show rings, had a look around the showground and chatted amongst ourselves catching up with friends we hadn't seen for a while.

Once the Eurasiers entered the ring, we entered into a bit of friendly rivalry with Stacey of Albionspitz Eurasiers who was also there to show some of her dogs. Michael & Troy did a great job in the ring, but on this occasion Albionspitz Spirit Worrior (Cheveyo) triumphed and Troy was placed second in his class, so well done to Stacey & Cheveyo!

Looks like we will be having a rematch at Richmond Show on the 12th September, so watch this space!
